Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data Overlaxed handles through this website, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated 15 Oct 2026.
Who is responsible
The data controller is OVERLAXED. For any question about this notice or your data, contact support@overlaxed.com.
What we collect, and why
If you email us
Your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it to reply and, if you become a client, to run the engagement. The lawful basis is your request and, later, the contract between us.
If you book a call
Booking is handled by a third-party scheduler, which collects your name, email address, and chosen time under its own privacy notice. That provider is Cal.com by Cal.com Inc, We receive the booking details so we know who we are speaking to.
If you accept analytics
Google Analytics 4 records how the page is used: the pages viewed, an approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, the referring site, and your browser and device type. We use it only to understand which parts of the page work. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
If you decline analytics
Nothing is measured and no analytics cookie is set. The site works exactly the same way. Declining has no effect on anything you can do here.
We do not run advertising or profiling cookies, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
Cookies
The site sets one first-party cookie, which records your analytics choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit. It contains no identifier and is not shared with anyone.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies. Their names and lifetimes are documented by Google and change from time to time, so they are not listed here; the effect is that your visits can be recognised across sessions.
How long we keep it
- Analytics data: 30 - 90 Days.
- Enquiries that do not become clients: Upon request of deletion.
- Client records: Within contract timeline, as required for tax and accounting.
Who we share it with
Only the providers needed to run this site, and only as described above:
- Website hosting: Overlaxed Cloud
- Analytics: Google, if you accept it
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. See International transfers below.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We respond to requests within 14 days. The lawful bases we rely on are contract, legitimate interest and consent and they differ per activity, as set out above.
Withdrawing consent
Clear the ox_consent cookie for this site in your browser settings. The banner returns on your next visit and analytics stops immediately. You can also use your browser to block the analytics request entirely, which does not affect anything else here. You may e-mail support@overlaxed with the subject line Cookie enquiry if you want to ask about this.
Cookies and PECR
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we ask for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary. Analytics is the only non-essential cookie on this site, it is off by default, and no request reaches Google until you accept. The cookie policy lists every cookie and how to withdraw your choice.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects what is collected, the consent banner will ask again rather than assuming your earlier answer still applies.
Company details
Company registration details will be published here once the UK entity is incorporated.
